The Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) is a competitive grant program established by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) under the 2008 Farm Bill. Additionally, five RFAs will target specific societal challenges, including Climate Change, Childhood Obesity Prevention, Food Safety, Global Food Security, and Sustainable Bioenergy.
