Opportunity Information: Apply for CNCS 3 10 2015
The AmeriCorps Indian Tribes Grants for FY 2016 offers two types of funding: planning grants and program grants.
Planning grants support recipients in developing an AmeriCorps program that focuses on evidence-based interventions to address community challenges. Eligible recipients can receive up to $75,000 for a 12-month planning period. These grants help organizations prepare to apply for a program grant in the next funding cycle, but they do not fund AmeriCorps members directly.
Program grants are awarded to organizations that plan to involve AmeriCorps members in these evidence-based initiatives aimed at strengthening communities. AmeriCorps members, through approved national service positions, receive a living allowance and other benefits during their service. After completing their service, members earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award, which can be used for higher education expenses or applied to qualified student loans.Apply for CNCS 3 10 2015
