  • Eligible applicants are limited to for profit (commercial) organizations, nonprofit organizations (including tribal nonprofit or for profit organizations), and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education) that support national initiatives to improve the functioning of the criminal justice systems. For profit organizations must agree to waive any profit or fees for services. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit an application that shows partnerships with key organizations in order to build strong working relationships with national level organizations in the criminal justice field. BJA welcomes applications that involve two or more entities however, one eligible entity must be the applicant and the others must be proposed as subrecipients. The applicant must be the entity with primary responsibility for administering the funding and managing the entire project. Only one application per lead applicant will be considered however, subrecipients may be part of multiple proposals. Applicants may apply to one or more categories listed within this announcement.
