The DoD Ovarian Cancer Academy Dean Award aims to support established ovarian cancer researchers who demonstrate strong mentoring skills and leadership potential. The recipient will lead the Ovarian Cancer Academy, earning the lifelong title of DOD Ovarian Cancer Research Professorship. This Academy is designed as a collaborative virtual platform to provide intensive mentoring and networking for junior faculty aiming to excel in ovarian cancer research.
The Academy will include five Early Career Investigators and their designated experienced mentors, focusing on those within the first three years of their faculty positions. An external advisory board, consisting of the OCRP Integration Panel, Program Manager, and Grant Manager, will oversee the Academy's initiatives. They will organize an annual workshop and a biennial conference to foster research presentations and collaborations among members.
