Opportunity Information: Apply for PD 15 7569
The Dynamics, Control and Systems Diagnostics (DCSD) program focuses on fundamental research related to analyzing, measuring, monitoring, and controlling dynamic systems. This includes the development of new analytical, computational, and experimental tools, as well as novel applications in both engineered and natural systems. The key components of the program are dynamics, which involves systems changing over time; control, which focuses on using external influences for desired outcomes; and systems diagnostics, which entails inferring information from observations.
The program aims to discover new phenomena and explore innovative methods and applications in its areas of interest. Submitted proposals will be evaluated on their innovative nature in dynamics and control and their potential transformative impact across various disciplines.
Proposals should align with the CMMI division's priorities. Research dealing with electromagnetic or chemical phenomena should be directed to the ECCS or CBET divisions instead. To ensure alignment with the DCSD program, principal investigators are strongly encouraged to send a 250-word project summary to the DCSD Program Directors before submitting a full proposal. It is important to note that the DCSD program does not fund fundamental research on sensing modalities or sensor development; such proposals should be submitted to other relevant programs within the ECCS Division.Apply for PD 15 7569
