PI Limit As of the deadline date for the application, applicants must ullibe U.S. citizens or permanent residents/lilibe enrolled in a research oriented Masters or Ph.D. degree program, and, ifenrolled in a joint Bachelor/Masters program, have graduated fromthe undergraduate degree portion of the program/lilibe enrolled at a U.S. institution locatedin the United States and/lilipropose a research project in fields of science, engineering,and science education supported by the National Science Foundation (see Section II below for fields of study eligible for NSF support)./li/ul Applications submitted by persons who do not meetall of the above criteria will not be entered into the competition and will be returned without review. Applicants are encouraged to consult with and have the support of their academic advisors prior to applying. Previous awardees may apply, but only to a different host location from their previous award. Priority will be given to new applicants to the program. Students who are matriculated at the time of application and subsequently graduate may still receive an award and participate in the program.
