(Do NOT refer to the right hand column headed Purchasing Power Parity.) For the purposes of this announcement, institutions in the following countries or geographical regions are eligible North Africa, West Africa, East Africa, Central Africa, Southern Africa, Russia, the Newly Independent States, Eastern Europe (except Slovenia), the Middle East (except Israel), India, Asia (except Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan), the Pacific Islands region (except Australia and New Zealand), Latin America and the Caribbean.
