The National Historical Publications and Records Commission invites proposals for the Institutes for Historical Editing aimed at enhancing the training and education of historical documentary editors. This initiative is designed to provide both basic and advanced training while encouraging editors to consider their roles in furthering the field in the modern era.
The grant offers funding between one and three years, up to $265,000, with a single grant expected to be awarded in this category. The funding period starts no earlier than July 1, 2016. Recipients must publicly acknowledge the NHPRC's support in any related materials.
