The International Research Network Connections (IRNC) program offers funding to enhance high-performance network connectivity for international science and engineering research and education collaborations linked to the NSF community. The program aims to:
1. Connect U.S. research networks with global counterparts and utilize existing international connections. 2. Enhance U.S. infrastructure by promoting open network exchange points. 3. Innovate and improve capabilities at Research and Education Network Operation Centers. 4. Foster the development and use of advanced network measurement tools across international paths. 5. Encourage community involvement in training and building human and network capacity in advanced engineering.
Projects funded by this program will support research and education by providing exceptional international network services, facilitating broader collaboration, and enhancing data services.
