The U.S. Embassy in Bangkok is offering a grant opportunity for organizations in the Lower Mekong region, which includes Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. This initiative focuses on projects related to one of the six pillars of the Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI): Agriculture and Food Security, Connectivity, Education, Energy Security, Environment and Water, and Health. Proposals that tackle the interconnected issues of water, energy, food security, and gender equality are also encouraged.
The aim is to promote equitable, sustainable, and inclusive growth across the five LMI partner countries by addressing regional development and policy challenges collaboratively. Grant amounts can range from 5,000 to 50,000, with larger requests considered under certain circumstances. However, proposals that involve a foreign government as a grantee or beneficiary will not be accepted.
