Opportunity Information: Apply for 2011 NIST MEP STATE PARTNERSHIPS
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking proposals from qualified organizations for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) State Relations Support initiative. This opportunity aims to strengthen MEP's connections with state stakeholders to boost productivity and technological innovation in U.S. manufacturing.
Proposals should address two main focus areas:
1. **Network Building and Expansion**: Recipients will work alongside NIST MEP and MEP centers to foster strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including state leaders and economic development practitioners. The goal is to enhance communication about the needs and priorities of states, share insights on risks and opportunities, and facilitate dialogue about integrating MEP initiatives into state strategies. The recipient will also help prioritize states for MEP engagement and provide support services across the country.
2. **Research and Knowledge Development**: The recipient will work to gather and analyze information on state budgets, economic policies, and partnership dynamics among states, MEP Centers, and the private sector. This includes tracking state activities and sharing research insights to assist in building and maintaining effective relationships.
NIST encourages innovative approaches in proposals, allowing flexibility in management structures, provided they are based on proven collaborative support service models. Eligible organizations are invited to participate in this effort to enhance the effectiveness of the MEP system.Apply for 2011 NIST MEP STATE PARTNERSHIPS
