If you are applying as a bona fide agent of a state or local government, you must provide a letter from the state or local government as documentation of your status. Domestic institutions or organizations, including established scientific or professional societies, are eligible to apply for conference support. Both domestic and international conferences may be supported however, an international conference can be supported only through the U.S. representative organization of an established international scientific or professional society. An individual is not eligible to receive a grant in support of a conference.
