Competition is limited under this program announcement to maximize the potential success of the program by funding those institutions with prior experience, demonstrated credibility, documented success and programmatic focus in the engagement and education of socially and economically disadvantaged students. Eligible organizations in general are listed below bull Universities bull Colleges bull Medical Schools Applicants must provide an eligibility summary statement outlining verification of the following criteria for selection consideration Designation as a minority serving institution of higher learning Location in or near the metro Atlanta, GA area Minimum of 4 yearsrsquo experience implementing and overseeing a public health fellowship program Evidence of 4 yearsrsquo successful mentoring of fellows Established processes for tracking students post fellowship program completion Established courses and curricula in public health, biostatistics, and epidemiology Established courses and curricula in health disparities, social determinants of health and health equity Faculty with a minimum of 4 yearsrsquo experience and expertise in health disparities, social determinants of health and health equity. The eligibility summary statement must consist of no more than 5 pages of text, single spaced with font no larger than 12 points with 1 inch page margins. Applications without the eligibility summary statement will not be considered. Applications that exceed the upper value of the specified dollar range will be considered non responsive and will not receive further review.
