Opportunity Information: Apply for HRSA 13 139
The R40 Maternal and Child Health Research Program (MCHR) offers funding for about six multi-year research projects focused on maternal and child health services in fiscal year 2013. This initiative aims to support applied research that can enhance knowledge in areas such as health care for children with special needs and overall improvements in health and healthcare delivery for mothers and children. Research proposals should tackle key issues in maternal and child health (MCH), including public health systems, health disparities, quality of care, and health promotion for MCH populations. The program emphasizes the life course perspective as a framework for addressing these critical questions.
Additionally, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) regularly updates its research agenda and encourages studies that link to the strategic research issues identified by a work group of experts. Applications will be assessed in part on how well they address these strategic issues. In a related initiative, the program also provides funding for approximately ten studies that analyze existing secondary MCH data.Apply for HRSA 13 139
