Opportunity Information: Apply for 10 514
The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program supports the recruitment of talented individuals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to become K-12 teachers. The program offers two main tracks:
1. **Noyce Scholarship Track**: This track provides financial assistance to higher education institutions for scholarships, stipends, and academic programs aimed at undergraduate STEM majors and post-baccalaureate students. Recipients must earn a teaching credential and commit to teaching in high-need K-12 school districts.
2. **NSF Teaching Fellowship/Master Teaching Fellowship Track**: This track assists STEM professionals by funding their participation in master's degree programs that lead to teacher certification. It includes professional development and salary supplements for those who commit to teaching for four years in high-need districts. Additionally, it supports the development of accomplished teachers into Master Teachers through professional development and salary enhancements.
The program also includes an Innovation through Institutional Integration (I3) initiative. This encourages faculty and administrators to strategically integrate various NSF-funded awards, primarily focused on programs within the Directorate for Education and Human Resources, but not limited to them. For FY 2010, proposals are being requested for nine specific EHR programs to enhance I3 objectives.Apply for 10 514
