Opportunity Information: Apply for 10 590
The Small Business Technology Transfer Program (STTR) for FY 2011 aims to promote technological innovation within the private sector. It emphasizes the importance of small businesses in fulfilling federal research and development needs and encourages the practical application of research findings. The program specifically seeks to include participation from socially and economically disadvantaged groups, as well as women-owned small businesses.
To qualify, small businesses must collaborate significantly with researchers from universities or research institutions. This partnership allows researchers to contribute their expertise while still being primarily employed at their institutions.
This year's STTR solicitation focuses specifically on "Digital Gaming in Education," recognizing the rapid growth of digital gaming as a tool for entertainment, knowledge dissemination, and skill development. As digital natives learn differently, this presents new opportunities for small business entrepreneurs to innovate in educational contexts. For more details, refer to section A.10.Apply for 10 590
