- APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY Organizations submitting proposals must meet the following criteria Be a registered non profit organization or educational institution based in Peru. ONLY local, non governmental organizations are eligible to apply. Applicants must be registered in country or submit proof that they are seeking registration as a non profit in Peru at the time of proposal submission. Applicant must also comply with all local laws (e.g. labor, taxes, etc.). Public International Organizations and Commercial firms based in the U.S. and Peru are excluded. Be a Peruvian organization with demonstrated experience working in demand reduction, drug use prevention, early intervention, or treatment and rehabilitation programs with at risk populations, such as women and youth. Have demonstrated experience implementing similar education, capacity building, or community development programs in Peru, and preferably with the targeted community identified in the proposal. Have existing capacity to develop partnerships with government (particularly DEVIDA and MINSA) and non governmental public health organizations in Peru, and other stakeholders in order to successfully fulfill the proposed program. Organizations may form a consortium and submit a combined proposal. However, one organization should be designated as the lead applicant. Applicants are required to submit the documents listed in the Proposal Summary Instructions (PSI), see attached.
