Opportunity Information: Apply for HHS 2012 IHS TMD 0001
The Tribal Management Grant Program (TMG) aims to strengthen the health management infrastructure of Indian Tribes and Tribal Organizations (T/TO). It helps these entities take over some or all existing programs and services provided by the Indian Health Service (IHS) through Title I contracts. Additionally, it supports established Title I contractors and Title V compactors in enhancing their management skills. The grants, authorized by 25 U.S.C. Section 450h(e), provide funding for two main purposes: securing technical assistance for program planning and evaluation, and for the planning, designing, monitoring, and evaluation of federal programs that serve T/TOs, which includes overseeing federal administrative functions.
