Opportunity Information: Apply for BJA 2011 3060
The Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) grant opportunity aims to enhance community safety by reducing gang and gun-related crime. This initiative fosters collaboration among local, state, and federal law enforcement, coordinated by U.S. Attorneys in each of the 94 federal judicial districts. Each U.S. Attorney will form a PSN task force comprising law enforcement and community stakeholders to tackle gang and gun violence through targeted enforcement, intervention, and prevention strategies.
The PSN framework is built around five key elements: partnerships, strategic planning, training, outreach, and accountability. These components are designed to address specific crime issues prevalent in each district. While grant funding for FY 2011 will be allocated based on a formula, future grants may be awarded competitively to prioritize effective, evidence-based programs in areas of significant need.
This initiative is supported by the Department of Defense and related appropriations acts. More detailed information can be found in the grant announcement and on the official website.Apply for BJA 2011 3060
