- Foreign institutions are not eligible to apply. Eligible agencies of the Federal Government can apply. Faith based or community based organizations can apply. Applicants are required to include a plan for Training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (see Section IV.6). Applications must contain an evaluation plan. Applications submitted without these sections may be delayed in the review process or not reviewed. Applicants may submit more than one application, provided each application is scientifically distinct. The applicant institution must demonstrate a commitment to provide leadership and dedicated faculty time to the development and implementation of the program. Participants Individuals benefiting from this program must be citizens or non citizen nationals of the United States, or must have been lawfully admitted to the U. S. for permanent residence. Individuals on temporary or student visas are not eligible for support. Participants range from upper undergraduate to postdoctoral and new investigator levels. All individuals should have an interest in population research and/or population science. Students may be from non population fields specializing in fields that have high potential for interdisciplinary collaborations with population scientists.
