Federally recognized Indian tribes have three options when preparing an application under this program An individual Federally recognized Indian tribe can submit its own application or An individual Federally recognized Indian tribe can identify an agency or organization to apply for funds on its behalf as the tribe s authorized designee or Two or more Federally recognized Indian tribes can submit an application as a tribal consortium. Applications from the authorized designee of a Federally recognized Indian tribe or from a tribal consortium must include a resolution from the tribal communities that will be served by the proposed project. (Please see Appendix E of A Guide to Understanding the FY 2009 Grants to Indian Tribal Governments and Sexual Assault Services Program for more information about tribal resolutions.) An application received from an individual Federally recognized Indian tribe, an authorized designee of a Federally recognized Indian tribe, or a tribal consortium, must also satisfy two other requirements in order to be eligible for Recovery Act Tribal Governments Program funding
