Opportunity Information: Apply for USDA NIFA OP 003503
The Peoples Garden Grant Program (PGGP) is a funding opportunity announced by NIFA for fiscal year 2011 aimed at supporting the establishment of gardens that produce food, provide recreational spaces, or promote wildlife in both urban and rural areas. These gardens are intended to serve as venues for informal, science-based education. This program is a collaborative effort involving several USDA agencies, and successful applicants will be expected to provide financial support through micro subgrants to smaller local initiatives.
The announcement outlines the goals of PGGP projects, the eligibility criteria for applicants and projects, and includes necessary application forms and instructions. NIFA is also seeking input from stakeholders to inform the development of future requests for applications (RFA) related to this program.
For those interested in discussing the application process or seeking clarification, NIFA will hold a teleconference on August 4, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Details for participation and the call-in information are provided, and a summary of the teleconference will be made available on NIFA’s website for those unable to attend.Apply for USDA NIFA OP 003503
