- 1)For the purposes of this grant program an established SBHC is a health clinic that (A) meets the definition of a school based health center under section 2110(c)(9)(A) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1397jj(c)(9)(A) and is administered by a sponsoring facility (as defined in section 2110(c)(9)(B) of the Social Security Act) 42 U.S.C. 1397jj(c)(9)(A)) . In keeping with these definitions, the applicant organization (who may likely be a sponsoring facility, or qualifies as such) will administer the comprehensive oral health services within a SBHC. Applications failing to demonstrate such experience or capacity will not be considered. 2)As cited in Title 42 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 51a.3 (a), any public or private entity, including an Indian tribe or tribal organization (as those terms are defined at 25 U.S.C. 450b), is eligible to apply for this federal funding opportunity. If otherwise eligible, faith based and community organizations are eligible to apply for this federal funding opportunity. 3)Applicant, proposed partner and/or SBHC is not a current recipient of funding authorized under section 330 of the Public Health Service Act.
