The agreement will focus on two key projects: creating a monitoring program specifically for American Common Eiders and assessing the feasibility of capturing migrating Surf Scoters and White-winged Scoters along the Gulf of St. Lawrence in Quebec. The goals are to establish a comprehensive survey for ACOEI breeding areas and to capture and tag various sea ducks with satellite transmitters for better monitoring of migration patterns.
